Dear Reader,
More than 16 million people in South Sudan, Somalia, Kenya and Ethiopia do not know where their next meal will come from and children are at risk of dying from starvation. The DEC East Africa Crisis Appeal has been launched to raise funds to help those affected by this humanitarian catastrophe.
NewsNow, alongside the BBC, ITV and Channel 4, supports the work of the DEC, who co-ordinate the aid efforts of 13 leading British charities at times of urgent humanitarian need.
The UK Government will match pound for pound the first £5 million donated by the public. Money raised will support the efforts of DEC charities to reach families affected.
Last year, many NewsNow readers helped the DEC reach more than 1.5 million people with lifesaving aid. With your help today, we can help many more people right now at risk of starvation.
Please give generously by clicking the Donate button below and thank you for taking the time to consider this appeal.
