Bungling workmen throw away couple's bespoke £10,000 kitchen after mistaking their cupboards and worktops for RUBBISH

Contractors working on the house of Julie Martin (pictured) and Kevin McKeith were fitting new wiring, and removed cabinets and surfaces to access the walls. The workers put the kitchen cabinets outside the house in South Shields to make more room. However, this caused binmen to accidentally take their beloved fittings away as rubbish, costing the homeowners almost £10,000. Now Ms Martin is questioning how such a blunder could have happened.
