Ogiame Atuwatse II, the Olu of Warri
Omon-Julius Onabu in Warri
Itsekiri monarch, Ogiame Atuwatse II, the Olu of Warri, has advised politicians elected into various positions during the last general election in the country to ensure that they work towards the unity and prosperity of Nigeria and Nigerians.
He admonished them against actions and programmes that would not better the lot of the people of this country who have suffered serious social and economic hardships and longed for a better lease of life through better performance of the elected leaders in office.
He urged those declared winners in the election to be magnanimous in victory while those who did not win or whose candidates lost should give peace a chance in the interest of the people and the nation by continuing to contribute their quota to the development efforts.
The Itsekiri royal father made the remarks in his address to his people on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of his coronation in his palace in Warri on Saturday.
